The only part you have to remove from your carbine to use this tool is the trigger house. Be careful because you could damage the receiver. Beware of clamp down models that can scratch or even crack your receiver if over tighten. There are special tools used to install and remove the rear sight. ![]() Are sight tool will NOT damage your receiver like cheaper models that clamp down. Top picture is installing sight and bottom picture is removing sight- just flip tool around in your vise for fast and easy use as you can see in the pictures(follower will not grind against your valuble sight as some cheaper ones will).This simply locks into any vice and all you have to do is slide in the receiver and use a 9/16 wrench on either side.
